What a way to continue our fantastic run! Glossop Women’s Softball Team made it three consecutive victories with another brilliant performance at home against Dinting CC, winning 330 to 317.

It was another game full of energy, encouragement and teamwork from the very first ball. Opening batters Abbie and Lydia got us off to a fantastic start, hitting some great 4s and building a strong partnership. Abbie was outstanding with the bat, playing confidently and finding the boundary on several occasions to give Glossop the perfect platform. Charlotte and Gill also made valuable contributions with the bat, keeping the scoreboard moving with positive intent and helping Glossop post a strong total of 330.

Dinting battled hard throughout their innings and never gave up, but Glossop’s fielding was outstanding. Brilliant boundary stops, accurate bowling and great teamwork in the field kept the pressure on, with excellent spells from Tallia and Miyah, along with a maiden over from Leanne, helping to restrict Dinting to 317 and secure another well-earned win.

A special mention also goes to Gill, Charlotte, Hannah and Lydia, who were outstanding in the field. Their determination, safe hands and relentless effort kept the pressure on throughout the innings, with some brilliant stops and excellent teamwork that saved valuable runs.

This group continues to improve every week, and it’s been fantastic to watch everyone’s confidence grow. The support for one another, both on and off the pitch, is what makes this team so special.

Player of the Match goes to Pallypi

What an incredible catch! It had everyone talking and was a real highlight of the match. Add to that some fantastic fielding and batting, and it was a truly outstanding all-round performance. A thoroughly deserved Player of the Match award – congratulations, Pally!

Three wins on the bounce is something to be incredibly proud of, and we’re already looking forward to the next game as we continue to grow together.
